about

I have been photographing my family since I was given my first camera at age twelve - a Kodak Box Brownie. Over the years I’ve moved from that first camera through many other film and digital cameras. My favourites were an Olympus OM1 and my newest camera, a Canon 5D Mark II.

I love to photograph people, often members of my family, or the children or people I come across while travelling. The core of my photography is capturing images of people in their everyday environments, moments that reveal something about their character and reflect their mood in an instant of time.

I grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and moved to Canberra, the national capital, as a teenager. Photographing theatrical performances was an early spur to my work. I studied graphic art at Canberra Art School, and my work has appeared in several exhibitions, most recently at the PhotoAccess Huw Davies Gallery in Manuka, Canberra.

Please enjoy my photographs. I’d love to read your comments or questions.
